Welcome to NWOCO Veterans Outreach & Stabilzation Services
Restoring Purpose. Rebuilding Lives. Strengthening Communities.
At Northwest Ohio Community Outreach (NWOCO), we believe every veteran deserves more than gratitude—they deserve opportunity, support, and a pathway forward.
Founded by Nicholas and Tracy Getzinger, NWOCO Veterans Outreach Services was built from lived experience, sacrifice, and a deep understanding of the struggles many veterans and first responders face after service. As a 100% disabled combat veteran, firefighter, law enforcement officer, and skilled trades instructor, Nick knows firsthand the battles that often continue long after the uniform comes off.
Our mission is simple:
To provide a hand up—not a handout—to veterans, disabled veterans, transitional veterans, first responders, and those displaced by life’s hardships.
Through faith, community, education, and practical life-building programs, we are creating real pathways to healing, purpose, and self-sufficiency.
What We Do
At NWOCO, we connect veterans and families with critical resources while equipping them with practical tools for life and career success.
Through our Trades of Grace Program, we offer:
Skilled Trades Training
HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Masonry & Construction
Automotive & Mechanical Training
Entrepreneurship Development
Life Skills Training
Financial Literacy
Job Readiness & Resume Building
Mentorship & Peer Support
Housing Navigation & Stabilization
Veteran Benefits Assistance
Community Resource Connections
We work closely with the VA, Veteran Service Offices across multiple counties, local agencies, and community partners to ensure no veteran has to fight their battles alone.
Building More Than Careers
Our programs are designed to do more than teach a trade. We help rebuild confidence, restore dignity, and reignite purpose.
Located at St. Joseph Commons in McClure, Ohio, our growing community training center is becoming a place where veterans can find support, gain skills, and build a better future for themselves and their families.
With our expanding Downtown McClure Revitalization Project, we are transforming historic spaces into new opportunities—including a dedicated Skilled Trades and Automotive Training Center—bringing life back into our community while investing in those who served.
Our Foundation
Faith is at the center of everything we do.
We believe healing happens through brotherhood, purpose, accountability, and service to others. Whether someone needs guidance, training, housing support, or simply someone to walk beside them—we are here.
Because at NWOCO, we believe:
One Veteran. One Family. One Community at a Time.
